Privacy

Last updated: October 15, 2026

Snapsum is a free daily puzzle game. You never need an account, and we never ask for your name or email address.

When you finish a puzzle

We save your five answers, your score and how long you took, so we can show how everyone did that day. We don't store your IP address. Instead we store a scrambled code made from it and the date, only to stop one device from submitting the same puzzle again and again. That code is erased after 2 days.

How we improve the game

Each visit sends an anonymous summary to our server:

It has no name, no IP address and no ID that follows you from one visit to the next. We use it to see which puzzles are too hard, too easy or where people stop. If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track signal, we don't send this summary at all.

What stays on your device

Your streak, past scores and today's progress are saved in your browser's local storage so the game remembers them. We don't use cookies. Clearing your browser data removes everything.

Hosting

The site runs on Cloudflare. Like any web host, Cloudflare handles your IP address to deliver pages and block attacks. See Cloudflare's privacy policy.

How long we keep things

Scrambled device codes: 2 days. Answers and anonymous visit summaries: up to 400 days. Daily totals that only contain counts (for example, how many people scored between 300 and 310) may be kept longer.

Ads

Snapsum doesn't show ads yet. If that changes, we'll update this page first and ask for your consent where the law requires it.

Children

Snapsum is made for a general audience. We don't knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children.

Your choices and questions

Because we don't collect names, emails or IP addresses, we usually can't link any record to you. If you have a question or request about your privacy, email the Snapsum privacy contact at hello@snapsum.io.

Changes

If we change how Snapsum handles information, we'll update this page and the date at the top.
